The Speedo Open Water Series splashed down in Branksome Bay, Poole for the first swim of the series, the Speedo Spring Swim. Hundreds of competitors lined the shoreline, many wrapped up with swimmers gloves and socks preparing to take the plunge into the 10.4 degree sea.

Human Race add brand new Spring Swim to the 2012 Speedo Open Water Swim Series

On Sunday 6th May 2012 Sandbanks in Poole, the fourth most expensive place to live on the planet, is set to become home to the very first Speedo Spring Swim. With race HQ in the stunning beachside area of Branksome, the Speedo Spring Swim tracks the Sandbanks shoreline along a course that makes for sea swimming at its best.
